PROJECT OVERVIEW
North Star Contracting delivered a major stormwater infrastructure upgrade for the City of Calgary to improve stormwater quality and support environmental protection within the municipal drainage network.
PROJECT DETAILS
The project included installation of a large Oil Grit Separator structure, storm tie-ins, deep excavation, shoring, retaining wall construction, and surface restoration.
Installed a 25m x 4.7m x 5.2m Oil Grit Separator
Installed a 3m x 4m x 5.3m manhole on an existing 1500mm storm line
Completed full waterproofing of the Oil Grit Separator
Designed and installed a 14m deep secant wall
Designed and installed a 50lm permanent retaining wall
Installed 1 1.9m Type 1-S manhole
Installed 10lm of 1200mm x 900mm box pipe
Installed 1 Super Catch Basin
Completed 11m deep excavation, including 20,000m³ of material removal for the Oil Grit Separator installation
Completed 1,260m² of asphalt roadway restoration
Installed 180lm of concrete curb and gutter
