GLENMORE TRAIL & SHEPARD ROAD PAVEMENT REHABILITATION
PROJECT OVERVIEW
This roadway rehabilitation project focused on the milling and paving of two major arterial routes — Shepard Road and Glenmore Trail — requiring a strategic approach to traffic management and safety. Given the consistently high volume of commercial traffic, the work was carefully scheduled during off-peak hours and at night to limit disruptions to the public and surrounding businesses. North Star worked in close coordination with the Calgary Police Service to implement phased closures and mobile work zones, ensuring both public and crew safety throughout. The project also included precision adjustments to underground infrastructure elements, executed efficiently during daylight hours to maintain momentum while minimizing impacts on traffic flow. The result was a smooth, coordinated delivery that balanced high-quality roadwork with complex urban traffic demands.
